Trendscut-it-outSeveral times a year, Claudia and I go on a jewellery buying expedition – and this one was the best yet.

Shopping days are full of long hours, but they're also fun … and together we know we are unbeatable in our taste for the best adornments on the planet!
Almost everything is in Plum stores now.
We know it will be difficult for you to decide which ones to get so to make it easier until May 23rd, get 50% off your second piece of jewellery.
Get all the juicy details here.
Now's your chance to do me, Plum's buyer, a favour. What kind of jewellery fits your style?
One of my favourite things about my job is buying the jewellery for Plum. Recently I had the opportunity to go to a huge trade show with jewellery from all over the world . It is so much fun to see all the different styles from many different countries, there truly was something for everyone! In the last couple of weeks we got in some fabulous semi precious jewels from places like Thailand, India, and Nepal. Everyone in the design department was going crazy when it arrived! It has that great tribal feel for the bohemian in us. We also recently got in some great little charms in burnished brass for those of us that sometimes like something a bit daintier. I have a ton of fashion jewellery that I've collected over the years. My mom gave me a great tip on how to organize jewellery that is simple and inexpensive. She cut the lids off the egg cartons and sorted her jewels by colour and then stacked them. What a great way to keep your special pieces sorted!
Check out our ever changing jewellery, I think you will have as much fun as I do… well almost. ... read the full post and reader comments The 4 Hottest Denim Styles at PlumSubmitted by Katie on Tue, 04/26/2011 - 12:17

My goal when buying denim for Plum is to get the premium denim look for under $110! Arguably the most comfortable jeans you will ever own, everyone seems to LOVE their yoga jeans! Each yoga jean design is created with a unique 5 way stretch and is made in Montreal. This season we chose a skinny indigo clean wash with ankle zipper that seems to suit every body type. The highrise slim overdyed black yoga jean is a reigning favourite at Plum, so we've brought them back for spring! Mavi is pretty much the most unpretentious premium denim for under $98! The Molly style has been such a huge success that they've made them in bootcuts, skinnies, slims, and crops. It's a style that is cut higher in the back and curves nicely to a medium rise in the front. You could say that they have you covered!
From April 28th until May 10th, $5 from every pair of denim purchased at Plum will go to Breast Cancer Research. A closet full of “cheap thrills” can be … well … boring? The pleasure of wearing something really wonderful is more long-lasting I find. Our design department loves the thrill of “wearing” something that feels fabulous … something that fits perfectly and looks good every time you wear it. The difference is like eating fast food – cheap, fast and frequent compared to eating a meal that is prepared well and memorable with every bite. Clothing should be like that. Don’t you think? Our closets should have fewer pieces but they should be well loved. We should be excited to wear a dress that looks amazing, that people complement and that you go back to for any occasion because of what it feels like to wear. But like a good meal, it takes time and attention to detail to design and make a beautiful dress. Our Simone line is our attempt at making dresses that you can be proud to wear. The staff in our stores would be thrilled to show you what we have that will be exactly right for you. So ask them to help … they know their stuff. You will be so happy to own a dress that looks sensational and feels wonderful to wear.
